Thomas E. Bloom, D.V.M., age 62, of River Falls, WI, passed away suddenly on Feb. 20, 2010. He was the first president of the Rotary Club of River Falls, past president of the Arrowhead Veterinary Association. He was an avid ham radio operator, he loved the outdoors, was a giver to the community and always thought of others first. Tom will be sadly missed.

Preceded in death by father, Mike Bloom and father-in-law, Clarence Miller. Survived by loving wife, Mary Jo; daughter, Maggie; son, Jason; mother, Beatrice; brothers, Dennis, Gary (Susan), twin brother, Tim (Carole); mother-in-law, Mary Miller; brother-in-law, Tom Miller and many nieces & nephews. A Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 1 PM, MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Rotary Club of River Falls for Haitian Relief (www.rfrotary.com) or donor’s favorite charity.  Interment was also on Wednesday at 3:30 PM in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, County Road J & County Road W, St. Croix County, Wisconsin.  SHIVA was at Sholom Home East, 740 Kay Ave., St. Paul, on Wednesday at 7 pm. A memorial gathering was held at the Kinnickinnic Town Hall, Co. Rd. J & Co. Rd. JJ, River Falls, WI, Thursday, February 25, 2010 starting at 7 pm.  Arrangements are with Hodroff-Epstein Funeral Home in St. Paul, Minnesota 651-698-8311.
