Nora C. Kempf, age 91 of Colesburg, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa.  Nora was born on July 7, 1917 in Withrow, Minnesota to Arthur and Marie (Sander) Sullwold.  She is preceded in death by her son, Ken Kempf. 

Nora is survived by her children, Arthur Kempf and wife, Marilyn of River Falls, WI, Darlene VanBeek of Amery, WI, Kevin Kempf and wife, Lee of Hammond, WI, and Kay Alm and husband, Gene of Colesburg, IA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Elsie McKenna of Roberts, WI.  A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Garfield, WI with the Reverend David Teig officiating.  Music will be provided by vocalist Dixie Teig and accompanist Shirley Ganter.  Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond and on Thursday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with Marvin Zahler, Richard Sullwold, Stanley Sullwold, Robert Zahler, Thomas Sullwold, John McKenna, Roger Anderson, Donald Anderson, and David McKenna as pallbearers and Erik Alm, Brian Alm, Naomi Dahl, Tamara Kempf, and Kerry Schlueter as honorary pallbearers.  Arrangements were with Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
