Genevieve (Beyer) Ottman age 80 of Pepin died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Plum City Care Center.  She was born November 29, 1929 in Welch, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Hurry) Beyer.

  On October 9, 1948, Genevieve married Harold Ottman in Maiden Rock, WI.  The couple farmed in the Maiden Rock area until retiring in April 1988 when they moved to Pepin.  She worked at the Pepin Senior Center until November 2008.  Genevieve collected Santa’s and enjoyed reading and gardening.  Surviving her are her husband;  one daughter, Twylah of Owatonna, MN; four sons, Bob (Lou Anne) of Golden Valley, MN, Steve (Deb) of Plum City, WI, Tad of Madison, WI and Tim (Stephanie) of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren, Candace Zytkoskee, Brian Ottman, Brent Ottman, Meghan Ottman, Natalie Ottman; several nieces and nephews.  Her parents; four brothers and two sisters precede her in death.  A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Maiden Rock.  Visitation was also Saturday from 11:00-1:00 pm before the service.  Spring interment will be in Maiden Rock Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the Pepin Senior Center or the Plum City Care Center.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Maiden Rock.
