Wally Gustavson age 75 of Prescott died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his home. He was born the son of Gustav and Katherine (Ftak) Gustavson on March 18, 1937 in Chicago, IL. On April 14, 1962, he married Zona Kingsbury in Fairbault, MN. Wally loved traveling in his motor home to various places. He especially enjoyed the trips to Colorado and going on mountain trails. Church was very important to Wally and he was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hudson for the past seven years. He also collected antique lamps. He will be missed by his wife Zona; son, Guy; sister, Millie (Wally) Blumka; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wally is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Katherine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Verne and Verdelia Kingsbury; and nephew, Andrew Kingsbury. A funeral service was held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church (1205 6th St.) in Hudson. Visitation was Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Hudson and on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am at the church. Interment was in the Zumbrota Cemetery in Zumbrota, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
